Edward J. Doyle III, 66, of Stratford, died July 17, at Bridgeport Hospital, from a sudden illness. Born July 26, 1943, and raised in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward J. Doyle, Jr, and Frances McQuade.

Survivors include his wife of more than 30 years, Peggy McElroy Doyle; two stepdaughters, including Laura Bleau, and her husband, Alan Iovino, of Newtown; a son; numerous other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends; and three beloved grandchildren.

Mr Doyle worked for Sikorsky Aircraft for 33 years. He was an avid golfer, and also very much enjoyed hunting, fishing, and socializing with friends and family.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial took place July 22.

Memorial donations to St Mark Church Building Fund, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford CT 06614-2490 will be graciously accepted. William R. McDonald Funeral Home, Stratford, assisted with the arrangements.
