uThe top-ranked Wake Forest University men’s soccer team lost a 2-0 halftime lead against No. 9 Virginia Tech and had to settle for its second consecutive draw. The Demon Deacons moved to 7-0-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the ACC. Marcus Tracy (NHS ’05) has two goals and four assists on the season.

uWins over Canisius (2-1) and Niagara (6-0) have pushed the Fairfield University women’s soccer team to 6-5-1 overall, 2-0-0 in the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Casey Frobey (NHS ’06) scored a goal in both wins and now has a team-high five on the season.

uSophomore Abigail Atkinson (NHS ’06) was a double-winner as the Bucknell University women’s swimming & diving team opened the season with a non-scored dual meet against the University of Maryland at Baltimore County. Atkinson claimed the top spots in both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke with times of 1:01.16 and 2:09.77, respectively. The Bison will be back in action on Saturday, October 27, for the annual Blue vs. Orange meet. The squad will then take to the road for a dual against Duquesne on November 3.

uThe Manhattan College women’s soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to five games with a 0-0 double-overtime tie with Loyola College and a 1-0 win over Rider. Alex Konneker (NHS, ’06) has a goal, scored in a 1-1 double-overtime draw with Fordham University on September 9.

uThe No. 12 Montclair State University men’s soccer team blanked Eastern University, 1-0, to improve to 11-1-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Brian Miles (NHS ’05) has a goal and five assists for the Red Hawks.

uAfter a 2-0 win over Franklin & Marshall, the Gettysburg College women’s soccer team has dropped three in a row to fall to 3-9-0 on the year. Tara Gaston (NHS ’06) has started all 12 games for the Lady Bullets.

uThe Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team improved to 8-2-0 overall and 1-0 in the NEC with a 2-1 win over Central Connecticut State University last weekend. Kyla Miles (NHS ’07) has appeared in nine games, starting five, for the ‘Cats and has registered one assist in 650 minutes of field action.

uA 3-2 win over Keuka College at the Mid-Coast Volleyball Invitational allowed the Emmanuel College women’s volleyball team to snap a 10-match losing streak. Diana Grimaldi (NHS’ 06) has registered 33 kills with a team-high 172 assists, eight service aces, 63 digs and 14 blocks.

uMarc Doherty (NHS ’06) has appeared in four games, starting two, for the University of South Florida men’s soccer team, which is now 7-2-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the Big East Conference.

uStephanie Logan (NHS ’04) was named to the Quinnipiac Invitational All-Tournament Team even as the Quinnipiac women’s volleyball team fell to 1-20 overall with a 32-30, 30-20, 30-24 loss to St. Peter’s College. Logan has a team-high 123 kills in 21 matches with a team-high 21 service aces, 58 digs and a team-high 32 blocks. The Lady Bobcats were at Iona on Wednesday and will be at Sacred Heart on Saturday, October 20, before hosting Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday, October 21, at home.
