*THE ADULTS will be playing at The Inn at Newtown, 19 Main Street, tonight (November 21).

*MARC HUBERMAN has shows tonight and next Friday at Donna Marie’s Cucina Italiana, 7 Main Street in Georgetown (telephone 203-544-7199), and then next weekend he’ll also be playing at Southwest Café, 109 Danbury Road (Route 35) in Ridgefield (203-431-3398).

Each show is scheduled to start at 7.

*Five-time Grammy Award winner JOHN LEGEND will be performing at Fairfield University’s Alumni Hall on Saturday, December 6, at  8 pm, as part of his Evolver World Tour. The show is being presented by The Fairfield University Student Association (FUSA) and only 500 tickets are available to the public. They’re $40 and available through TicketMaster or from the Campus Center Info Desk on university’s campus from 11 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday.

The show will mark the first appearance at Fairfield University for Legend, who has just released his third studio album, Evolver with the hit single, “Green Light,” featuring Andre 3000 of OutKast.

Legend has expanded his appearances beyond his concert performances, using his status as a recording artist to talk with college students about the need to address poverty. At the 2008 Democratic National Convention, he premiered his new song, “If You’re Out There,” a call to action and evocation of human potential, which he also sang on the Bill Maher Show.

*GREGG ALLMAN, Allman Brothers Band co-founder and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, is heading back out on the road for his first solo dates of the year and will be coming to Ridgefield on Tuesday, December 30, for a show at The Ridgefield Playhouse.

The iconic singer, songwriter, keyboardist and guitarist spent this summer touring the country for two legs of dates with the legendary Allman Brothers Band including the 10/13 Change Rocks concert with The Dead on behalf of Senator Barack Obama held in State College, Penn.

His upcoming winter run of dates will be with his solo band featuring Bruce Katz on keyboards, Jerry Jemmott on bass, Steve Potts on drums, Scott Sharrard on guitar, Jay Collins on sax, and Floyd Miles handling percussion.

Tickets are $60 and available through the playhouse’s box office; call 203-438-5795. VIP Party Pass tickets are also available for an additional charge. Ask about those if you’re interested in a pre-show cocktail party, VIP parking, and upgrades to VIP seating and Meet and Greets with the performer “when possible,” according to the website, for what looks like an additional $50 charge. Ask when you call.

*Southern Rock legends LYNYRD SKYNYRD will be one of the first acts to play in Mohegan Sun Arena in 2009 when they take the stage on Saturday, January 3, at 8 pm.

Tickets are $65 and $45 and go on sale Friday, November 21, at 10 through TicketMaster. If they don’t sell out on Friday, tickets can also be purchased at the Mohegan Sun box office starting Saturday, November 22.

*MÖTLEY CRÜE will also be at Mohegan Sun early next year, now that the band has announced plans for its Sants of Los Angeles 2009 Winter Tour. A Connecticut stop has been scheduled for March, on Friday the 13th (which seems somehow appropriate), with special guests Hinder, Theory of a Deadman and The Last Vegas.

Tickets are $61.50 and $81.50 and will be going on sale tomorrow morning at 10 through TicketMaster. If they’re still available on Sunday, they’ll also be available through the arena’s box office.

That’s it for me this week. I’m outta here. Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
