Animal Center Will Host Cat Adoption Drive This Weekend

BROOKFIELD — The Animal Center will hold a special cat adoption event at Petco, at 169 Federal Road, on Saturday, July 28, from 11 am to 3 pm.

“We have dozens of wonderful kittens and cats of all ages, sizes, and colors in our program waiting to find good homes,” says Janice Paik, adoptions coordinator for The Animal Center. “Adopting gives you an opportunity to save the life of a local homeless kitty, while gaining a lifelong friend and companion.”

The Animal Center’s locally based team is always available to answer any questions about cats before and after adoption. All cats adopted from The Animal Center have been examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, treated for internal/external parasites, and vaccinated, all included within The Animal Center’s adoption fee.

Photos of many of the cats and kittens that will be available for adoption this weekend can be seen on the center’s website, TheAnimalCenter.org. Information about adoption from The Animal Center can also be downloaded from that website.

For more information on the adoption event, contact Janice Paik at 270-0CAT (270-0228).

The Animal Center is a Newtown-based, nonprofit animal welfare charity that rescues, rehabilitates and places the community’s abandoned, neglected and injured cats and kittens into loving homes. The Animal Center not only partners with the community, but also with other rescue groups and veterinary offices to save cats that might otherwise be euthanized.

The center is a 501(c)(3) publicly supported charity; it will help more than 200 cats this year and relies heavily on the support of the public and generous volunteers.
