Paul Fiore, 45, Cape Cod Dealer
BOSTON, MASS. -- Paul John Fiore, 45, an antiques dealer, died at New England
Medical Center in Boston after an illness.
He was the son of Alfred L. Fiore, Sr, and Mary A. Perfetti Fiore of
Grayslake, Ill.
An antiques dealer, Fiore was born in Highland Park, Ill. He was a resident of
Cotuit, Mass., for the past 25 years, and had summered there in previous
years.
He graduated from Bentley College and received his master's degree in business
administration from Babson College, both in Waltham, Mass.
An authority on Stickley furniture and design of the American Arts and Crafts
period, Fiore helped pioneer its revival.
He got his start in antiques with John Cira at Backyard Gallery.
He received an award from Craftsman Farms, home of Gustav Stickley, for making
a significant contribution to the revival of interest in the Arts and Crafts
movement.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Claudia M. Walter of
Grayslake, Ill., Loretta M. Foss of Prairie View, Ill., and Marisa Ann Kelley
of Arlington. Mass.,; two brothers, Michael P. Fiore of Grayslake, Ill., and
Alfred L. Fiore, Jr, of Knoxville, Tenn.; his paternal grandmother, Josephine
Fiore of Libertyville, Ill.; his friend, Ray Cadrin of Cambridge, Mass.,; and
18 nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Christ the King Church, Mashpee Commons,
Mashpee, Mass. Burial was in Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit.
