Lighting The Night
To the Editor:
On August 29, our Light The Night Team âAHH...Always Have Hopeâ hosted our First Annual Family Sports Extravaganza to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We had a great time and raised over $800! Our team has a lot of heart and dedication, but we couldnât pull off this event without the many volunteers who helped make it all happen. To all of the high school students who volunteered their time â you were awesome! We couldnât ask for a nicer group of hardworking teens. A big thank you to LuAnn Leclerc from the L&L Society for her never-ending support. And special thanks to Ken Good and Rob Frangione from the Newtown Youth Academy for the use of this amazing facility and for their time and efforts dedicated to helping with our event.
Our balloon raffle was a huge success and we would like to thank the many businesses and people in our community for their support and donations: Newtown General Store, KICKS 105.5, Newtown Nail Spa, Newtown Dunkinâ Donuts, Your Healthy Pet, Ginny Chion, SHHair Co., Nina Nails, Panera Bread, All-Star Batting (Brookfield), Crown Trophies (Brookfield), Dr Baum, Down On Main Street, Olympia Sports, Megan at Game Stop, Just-A-Buck, The Wiffle Ball Inc, A New Beginning Salon & Spa, Bagel Delight, Francoâs Pizza, Quassy Amusement Park, Attachments Jewelry & Accessories, Fun Kutz and again, a very big thank you to the Newtown Youth Academy for allowing us to host this event there!
We hope youâll join our team at the Light The Night Walk at the NYA on Saturday, September 25.
Always Have Hope!
