Newtown residents can now register their furry friends online. The fee is $8 for spayed and neutered dogs, and $19 for unaltered dogs. There are several ways to register a dog, including online by visiting newtown-ct.gov/town-clerk, by mail, or in person. Residents can send a check made out to Town Of Newtown to Town Clerk’s Office, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown CT 06470. For those who wish to register in person, a copy of spaying or neutering certificate and current rabies certificate are needed. Registration closes August 31. All registered dogs are entered for a chance to be Newtown’s #1 dog.
