St Rose Annual Carnival Returning With Traditional Favorites & New Offering
St Rose Parish is gearing up for its annual parish carnival, which will open June 17, run each night from 7 to 10:30 pm until June 21, and feature a brand-new offering this year.
The five-night event is the parish’s biggest annual fundraiser that garners food donations from many area restaurants and event sponsorships from businesses and generous parishioners.
This year’s carnival will once again offer the perennially popular rides and games for all ages. The Knights of Columbus will offer their fried dough and specialties from restaurants will be featured each night. St. Rose School will have a tent offering fun activities and raffles.
This year will include a Beer Garden for the first time. Inspired by Father Peter Cipriani, pastor of St Rose Church, it will offer domestic and IPA beer brands and wine.
The garden will be a secure area for adults only, and entrance will be strictly limited to those of legal drinking age.
Fr Cipriani’s previous parish offered a beer garden that was successful in drawing adults and parents who wanted to enjoy the outdoor carnival experience but in a more sophisticated and intimate way.
“It’s a great breather for parents who accompany their children to the carnival but want to take a break from the high-energy atmosphere and just enjoy an adult beverage,” he says.
