Flagpole Photographers Celebrate Four Decades
The Flagpole Photographers Camera Club celebrated its 40th anniversary on June 5.
The celebration was held at Newtown Senior Center with current and former members connecting and reconnecting over stories and favorite photos. Numerous awards were presented to club members.
Additionally, a raffle was held with prizes were associated with photography.
A buffet dinner was provided as well as a sheet cake in recognition of the club’s 40th anniversary.
A cornerstone of the Newtown photography community since 1985, The Flagpole Photographers Camera Club is a local nonprofit that welcomes photographers of all levels — from beginners to professionals. It offers opportunities to learn, share, and grow through monthly competitions, workshops, field trips, community programs, and exhibitions.
Meetings and competitions are free to attend, and new members are always welcome.
