On Sunday, July 13, 2-4 pm, Bill Glass will be celebrated during the formal opening reception for the exhibit featuring his paintings and photography currently on view at Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street.

Glass is inviting all readers to come and enjoy his 38 pieces on display. Works include paintings and photography, all greatly inspired by the outdoors. He told The Newtown Bee he hopes onlookers can find some “respite for a while.”

While his photographs mostly capture Newtown and its beauty, his paintings focus on creating a “sound,” like lapping water in a lake or crashing waves at the beach, he also shared with the newspaper.

Glass is also offering a discount on all his photographs for all Newtown residents, workers, and anyone who works/volunteers for a charitable organization tied to the town.

Beyond Sunday’s reception, the collection can be viewed weekdays between 8 am and 4:30 pm until July 31.
