To The Editor:

Ten lies Trump told in the last two weeks:

1. Gas is now below $2 a gallon. Mississippi is lowest at $2.67 a gallon.

2. He cut drug prices by 1500%, drug companies would be paying us to take drugs.

3. There is no inflation now. Inflation is now 2.7%.

4. No other countries do mail in voting. Many do.

5. He just turned on a valve and gave LA more water. There is no valve.

6. The 2020 election was rigged. Guiliani lost about 30 court cases trying to prove that, was fined Millions of $ and God made him break his spine in a car accident. Giuliani was also disbarred.

7. People were given ten years in jail for damaging Confederate monuments.

8. Biden gave $350 billion to Ukraine. He only gave $133 billion.

9. South Korea didn’t pay any military costs under Biden.

10. Governor Moore of Maryland said Trump was the greatest president of all time.

11. Washington DC has no crime.

Sorry that was 11. I guess I lied. How can anyone vote for anyone who supports this guy?

  1. Tom Johnson says:

President Biden, too, has claimed “inflation was 0%,” when in fact prices remained elevated. He told us his Afghanistan withdrawal was a “success,” even though Americans and allies were left behind and 13 service members lost their lives. He promised not to build another foot of border wall, but later quietly restarted construction. These examples matter just as much as Trump’s because they show that political dishonesty isn’t unique to one side.

The point is not to excuse Trump or Biden—it’s to recognize that truth matters, and voters deserve accountability from all leaders. Singling out one politician while giving others a free pass only fuels division.

I agree with your point, Tom.

However, the sheer volume of Trump’s false statements and claims — vs. anyone else — is astonishing and noteworthy.

When you need hard hitting facts, look no further than citing Wikipedia…(heavy sarcasm for the people who struggle detecting it)
