On the morning of Halloween, many costumed children paraded through Newtown Community Center to trick-or-treat through the halls. Many town employees lined the main hall and handed out candy. After going through the community center, the children then went into Newtown Senior Center. Many senior center members joined in on the fun to pass out candy to the children. Senior Center staff coordinated their costumes, down to the purple haired wigs. Following the parade, the trick-or-treaters relocated to the community center for snacks and dancing.
