The Division III Newtown-New Fairfield Rebelhawks hockey team came up just short in a tightly-contested 1-0 loss to D-II opponent Guilford at Patsy DiLongo Rink in East Haven on January 21. Despite competing up a division, the Rebelhawks delivered a strong, disciplined effort and created several quality scoring chances throughout the game.

Goaltender Carter Bisson turned in an outstanding performance, stopping 35 shots and keeping Newtown-New Fairfield within reach until the final horn. His play anchored a resilient defensive effort against sustained pressure. With five players sidelined due to injuries, other Rebelhawks were forced into expanded roles and responded with energy, grit, and determination.
