Family: My family in Newtown is myself, my wife Tess, and our cat Tigger.
How did you meet Tess? We went to college together, and we were both English majors.
How long have you lived in Newtown? Four years.
Where do you work and what do you do? I work at The Bee, for Antiques and The Arts Weekly. I am an associate editor and copy editor.
What did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a vet because I love animals, and then I realized that I didn’t like that animals can’t talk to you. They can’t tell you if they’re in pain, so I decided I couldn’t do that.
Do you have a favorite podcast? The only one I tune in to regularly is “Small Town Murder.” There’s a lot of New England local creepy stuff.
Favorite TV show? I recently watched “The Burbs” on Peacock, and I’m rewatching “Law & Order: SVU.”
Do you have a favorite author? I really like Tana French.
What was the most recent book you read? I’m currently reading a book called Read Between the Lies.
Who or what has been the greatest influence on your life? My dad. He’s a really strong man. He’s been through a lot and he’s very wonderful.
Favorite music genre? I listen to pretty much any kind of music, but I find myself always going back to the 60s and 70s, rock and pop.
Do you go to concerts? Yes! Anything and everything. I don’t segregate. If I can get a ticket I’ll go. I’m going to a concert this week that my friends are going to. They told me and I said “OK, I’ll go,” so we’re going to see Del Water Gap.
Favorite food? Broccoli. I love broccoli.
Favorite color? Purple
What is your favorite thing about Newtown? I love that it’s got everything you need but it still feels like a small town.
Do you have a personal credo? Live every day because you never know what’s going to happen.
