As a 27-year resident of Newtown and member of the Legislative Council, I am proud to endorse Republican candidate Amybeth Laroche for Connecticut’s 28th District State Senate seat.

Having worked closely with Amybeth in her role on the Newtown Board of Finance, I have been impressed by her intellect, thoughtful analysis, and determination to identify cost savings that benefit Newtown taxpayers. She approaches every issue with fiscal discipline, transparency, and a commitment to responsible government.

In addition, Amybeth brings real-world experience, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to our community. She understands the importance of protecting taxpayers and will ensure Newtown’s voice is heard in Hartford. She is not a politician and has always worked in the private sector. Amybeth will advocate for all residents in the district and is a working mom keenly aware of what is needed for families, schools, seniors and small businesses.

Her election would also mark a historic milestone. When elected Amybeth will be the first woman to represent the 28th district in the Connecticut State Senate. That should get all voters excited regardless of their party affiliation! I know Amybeth has the leadership, integrity, and experience to serve our community with distinction, and I encourage 28th district voters in Bethel, Easton, Fairfield and Newtown to vote for her.
