A representative is someone chosen to speak and act on behalf of the people they serve. For more than fourteen years, Mitch Bolinsky has fulfilled that responsibility by serving Newtown with integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication as our State Representative in Hartford. He consistently puts all residents’ needs first and works tirelessly to deliver meaningful results.

Before serving in the General Assembly, Mitch served on Newtown’s Legislative Council, and the Economic Development Commission and Board of Ethics. That experience gave him a strong understanding of the community and prepared him to represent Newtown effectively at the state level. As a member of the Newtown Lions Club, I have seen firsthand how Mitch turns community concerns into action. When our club sought to expand its annual Mustang raffle in 2017, Mitch championed House Bill 6041, which became Public Act 17-161. The legislation allowed nonprofits to sell raffle tickets online, helping the Club to reach more supporters, and raise additional funds for the charities the Club supports. Many other Newtown and Connecticut charities and their recipients have benefited, as well due to Mitch’s efforts. Mitch’s service extends well beyond this accomplishment. He has supported older adults, earning AARP recognition; advocated for veterans and military families; and worked to improve educational opportunities for students with disabilities through his service on the Education and Special Education committees. He is always accessible and responsive, helping residents navigate state government and ensuring their concerns receive attention.

Mitch has earned Newtown’s trust through dedicated service, practical leadership, and meaningful results. Newtown deserves a representative who listens, follows through, and remains committed and works tirelessly to all the community young and old, regardless of party affiliation.

I am proud to endorse Mitch, and encourage all voters to cast their ballot for his re-election.
