Run 4 Hunger And Health Benefits Food Pantry And Youth And Family Services
The eighth annual Run 4 Hunger And Health took place at Fairfield Hills on September 12. There were 61 finishers in the 5K event which is hosted by the Knights of Columbus and supports FAITH Food Pantry and Newtown Youth and Family Services.
Matthew Rosa of Brookfield was the top finisher in a time of 20:46.07. Naugatuck's Stefan Cirisoli was second in 21:52.77, Newtown's Cody Gotthardt came in third in 22:26.97, Danbury's Ian Schmidt was fourth in 23:26.24, Newtown's Gary DeBrito came in fifth in 23:51.97, Danbury's Jake Ryan was sixth with a time of 23:53.21, Newtown's Carlos Garcia came in seventh in 24:03.26, New Fairfield's Laura Schramm was the top female and took eighth overall in 24:10.53, Newtown's Peter Salonia was ninth in 24:27.57, and Newtown's Daniel Garcia was tenth in 24:50.08.
