Christ the King Lutheran Church in Newtown will present its annual Fall Fair. This year’s event will return to the grounds of the church, 85 Mt Pleasant Road, on Saturday, November 7, from 9 am until 3 pm, with free admission.

An early bird admission of $5 from 8-9 am is the best way to secure first pick of items from vendors and the huge tag sale.

All attendees will be invited to shop local and support crafters and businesses with 45+ indoor and outdoor vendor tables, each selling something unique, from handmade crafts, locally produced food items, and jewelry to accessories, vintage, organic skincare, and custom shirts, with more being added.

Organizers promise the fair is a great way to start Christmas shopping by supporting the local community.

As always, the church will host its huge, popular $1 tag sale featuring hundreds of items in every category — clothes (a room full of mostly new clothes with tags still on), shoes, and accessories, kids items, toys, home goods, small appliances, crafting items, sports equipment, jewelry, books, and much more added each week.

At 2 pm, all items will drop to 2/$1, and starting at 3:30 anything remaining will be given away for free outside.

Lunch will be served, music will be performed, and a bake sale and silent auction will also be conducted.

The event will be conducted rain or shine.

Outdoor vendor opportunities are also available.

Missions Chair Rachel Williams said she and other volunteers are grateful for all who attend and shop at the annual Fall Fair at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

“Proceeds from the fall fair are directed to Mission commitments, internationally, nationally, and local,” Williams also said. “Previous monies have gone to the establishment of a Lutheran High School in South Sudan and other missionary support efforts, to national disaster relief, and local Christian ministries which aid people and families in need.

“Remaining funds support our church worship and infrastructure and help to maintain Christ the King as a welcoming church home in the community. We are looking forward to another successful event that will allow us to [do] good things for God's people.”

Christ the King Lutheran Church in Newtown will present its annual Fall Fair one week from today.
