Raymond W. Butler

Raymond W. “Tiny” Butler, 72, of Nunnawauk Meadows, died September 16, in Bridgeport Hospital.

Mr Butler was born in Bridgeport on November 13, 1930, a son of the late Hubbel and Beatrice (Layman) Butler. He was a resident of Newtown for 40 years, and he was employed as a truck driver for the City of Danbury until his retirement. He was a former member of the United Fire Company of Botsford.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim Wills and her husband, John, of Tabernacle, N.J., and Lisa Miller and her husband, Gary, of Shelton; his former wife, Roberta Butler of Mount Carmel, N.J.; one brother, John Butler, Sr, of Bethel; one sister, Lois Pratt of Newtown; a sister-in-law, Louise Butler of Newtown; four grandchildren, John and Jenna Wills, and Kristen and Lauren Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Butler.

Friends may call Friday, September 19, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, at 11:30 am, from the Honan Funeral Home and at noon in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Newtown Village Cemetery.
