Rotary Offers Free Trip To Taiwan

A free four-week study trip to Taipei, Taiwan, is being finalized at this very moment. Rotary offers this to young (25-40 years of age) professional and business men and women as a means to understand the culture and the dreams of the people as well as learn about and understand the method of doing business in that country.

During these four weeks commencing about March 24, each of the four team members and the Rotarian team leader will be living with various Rotarian families learning the way of life in a regular family setting. During the week, they will visit museums, schools, businesses, historical sites, and many other interesting places and events. One day of each week will be spent with people and businesses in their own vocation, to learn the way that businesses, schools, etc, operate or perform.

One of Rotary International’s main objectives is “World Peace Through Understanding,” and what better way is there to understand people of another nation and culture than to live and travel with them for four weeks? This has often been called on “opportunity of a lifetime.”

Anyone interested in more information about this program should immediately call Ed Osterman at 426-0530.
