To the Editor:
So in the span of a week, an obviously in-over-his-head candidate for Newtownâs state House seat was found to have committed campaign fraud, and partisan members of the Board of Education tried to bar Representative Chris Lyddy from accepting an award at his elementary school alma mater (really?) for his support of education.
The only bright light in a largely dark political universe continues to be Rep Lyddy, who has represented the 106th House District with trademark class, competency, commitment to community, and conviction since his election two years ago. His good work is well documented, and he is more than deserving of our continued support in November.
Respectfully,
Chris Gardner
