Home Run Derby Results

The second annual 12-year-old Cal Ripken Home Run Derby was held at Glander Field on June 19. Griffin Davis was crowned the champion after defeating Stephen Brittin in the finals. Davis and Brittin battled through two overtime rounds before Griffin won the title in a very exciting contest. Rounding out the top five were: Michael Parker (thirrd place), Christopher Calo (fourth), and Sam Czel (fifth). The other participants were Devin Luzietti, Ethan Carpenter, Matt Maturo, David Matthews, Tim Krapf, Andrew Craigin, and Erik Street. Nick Samuelson also qualified to participate, but could not attend the event. All of the players who were invited had two or more home runs during the in-house 12-year-old season.
