Trauma Center Is Accreditated

DANBURY - Danbury Hospital has received accreditation as a Level II Trauma

Center. The three-year designation was approved by the American College of

Surgeons' (ACOS) Committee on Trauma Verification/Consultation Program for

Hospitals and the State of Connecticut.

The accreditation certifies that Danbury Hospital has immediate, 24-hour

availibility of specialized staff and equipment necessary for resuscitation

and life-support to care for severely injured patients or those at risk for

severe injury.
