Listen, I donât mind when the referees are on the takeas long as they are on the take for MY_team - which apparently seemed to be the case during the Giants-Bills game on Sunday.
I watched a Giants receiver CLEARLY_fumble the football on a pass play and then watched a Giants cornerback CLEARLY mug the Buffalo receiver (no names were named to protect the innocent, even though was sure as heck guilty) and the referees refused to step in and throw their yellow handkerchiefs on the ground.
Hey, thatâs okay.
What I find hilarious, though, is that not one - NOT_ONE - Giant fan called up the radio stations on Monday and said, âWhew, did the refs ever give US a break, huh?_Wow, talk about highway robbery!â But had the calls gone AGAINST the Giants, the switchboards would have been flooded with fans rady to hunt those referees down like dogs.
Itâs a funny world.
Funny strange, I mean.
