Nurse For St Vincent’s and St Joseph’s Hospitals

Donna Cieniawa, 57, wife of Dr Bernard Cieniawa of Newtown, died on July 26 at her home. She was born in Bridgeport on July 28, 1949, daughter of Albert and Alice Diepietro. She was the mother of Colin and Emily Cieniawa, both of Newtown.

Mrs Cieniawa is also survived by two brothers, Al and Louis Diepietro, both of Florida. Her devoted dog, Charlie, also survives her.

She was a graduate of Trumbull High School, class of 1967, and the University of Bridgeport in 1971, with a degree in nursing. She worked in her profession in St Vincent’s Hospital, Bridgeport and St Joseph’s, Stamford.

Funeral services were July 29 at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Interment took place in St Rose Cemetery, Newtown.
