Love And Knishes At Jewish Center
SOUTHBURY â The Love and Knishes Senior Lunch program of the Federation-Jewish Communities of Western CT will continue meeting on Tuesdays this month. Luncheons take place at noon in the social hall at Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street North.
The food is freshly prepared each Tuesday by Chef Nancy Stokes and features healthful, delicious menus. All programs are open to the public; there is a suggested donation of $5.50.
Following lunch there will be entertainment or lectures starting at 1 pm. The following programs are planned:
March 16 will feature âIrish Stew/Jewish Mishmashâ with singer and guitarist Kathy Nativo of Rocky Hill returning for an afternoon of great songs, stories, lies and jokes.
Pianist Roger Young will help usher in spring on March 23 with âGershwin and All That Jazz,â a selection of jazz favorites and special requests.
On March 30 âPierce Campbell in Concertâ will feature the singer-songwriter performing American classics, songs of the sea, Irish favorites, and campfire songs. Mr Campbell, who grew up in Woodbury, is a member of The Kerry Boys and has produced 5 CDs.
