Find A More Appropriate Bank Design

For Sandy Hook

To The Editor:

As a resident of Sandy Hook for 34 years, I have seen many improvements made to Sandy Hook Center in keeping with the original architecture. I have no objections to Newtown Savings Bank building a new building on the proposed site, but I cannot understand how the proposed design was approved.

I feel the design is inappropriate for the center of Sandy Hook. Has anyone involved with this project taken a ride by Newtown Savings Bank in Clock Tower Square in Monroe or the new Newtown Savings Bank building near Southbury Green in Southbury?

These are both very attractive buildings and, in my opinion, would be more appropriate for Sandy Hook Center.
