Casmer Thomas Pulieri

Devoted To Family

Casmer Thomas Pulieri, 84, died September 4, with his family by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, reuniting his spirit with his beloved wife, Sarah. Born September 16, 1923, in Wilkes Barre, Penn., he was a Bridgeport resident for 70 years. Casmer was a proud US Army veteran during World War II, assigned to the 276th Infantry Regiment where he fought in New Guinea, the Philippines, and Japan. Mr Pulieri was co-owner of the Fireside Inn, Newtown, for many years.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and caring brother. He will be sadly missed by his beloved children, Joseph Pulieri and his wife, Nancy, Sharon Lisko and her husband, Andrew, and Donald Pulieri; his grandchildren, Alicia, Amy, Joseph, and Lauren Pulieri, and Cheri and Karyn Lisko; and five great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister, Ann Augustine and her daughter, Joanne Peccerilli; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Mary Mazzei and Peter Pulieri.

Mr Pulieri was retired from The Bridgeport Insulated Wire Co. He was a devout Christian, longtime faithful member of the 700 Club, and attended the Black Rock Congregational Church. He enjoyed listening to Christian music, and loved watching and coaching sports. Most of all he was delighted in the time spent with his family. Most recently, he enjoyed volunteering at Bridgeport Hospital where he was always found comforting patients and smiling.

Funeral services took place September 8 in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull, and in Black Rock Congregational Church, Fairfield. Interment followed in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
