U12

Onex 12, BASE Technologies 7 – Reid Schmidt had his second two-homer game this season, driving in five runs and pitching two scoreless innings to lead Onex. Spencer Erhardt delivered a key single that drove in two runs and Michael Lengel (2-for-3), Dean Baye (2 runs scored), Alek Arend (run scored) and Chad Magoulas (single, 2 RBI) all contributed. For BASE, Jeff Grasso doubled in a pair of runs, Wyatt Depuy singled in a couple of runs, David Gerics doubled and scored two runs and Sean Elliott made a nice catch in centerfield.

Emmett & Glander 9, Onex 8 – Stefan Hennessey two-out single in the sixth lifted E&G to the win. JP Blanco went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and Riley Wurtz collected three hits and scored three times. Mario Pizighelli pitched two solid innings, striking out four. For Onex, back-to-back first inning homers by Michael Lengel and Eric Terhaar sparked the offense. Jack Champagne scored two runs, and Nick Heron singled twice, and driving in a couple of runs.

Onex 14, Noyes-Ryder 10 – Reid Schmidt’s grand slam (his second homer of the game) in the bottom of the fifth was the difference in this slugfest. Eric Terhaar (double), Michael Lengel and Chad Magoulas (homer) had key hits. Kevin Leblanc earned the save, pitching as scoreless sixth inning.

Westport Worldwide 15, Onex 6 – John Lebinski, Reid Schmidt and Kevin Leblanc handed a four-run lead to Onex’ exhausted bullpen, but the relief corps couldn’t hold back the Warriors’ bats late in the game. Eric Terhaar, Lebinski, Nick Heron and Alek Arend supplied the early lead for Onex.

Emmett & Glander 7, Lee J. Demers, Builder 6 – Stephan Hennessey had three hits, including a walk-off homer to give E&G the win in the bottom of the sixth inning. Dan Gustafson and Mike Scharfenberg added RBI singles. Stephen Conway also drove in a run. For Demers, Rob Andreotta had a run-scoring hit while Kaleb Rowe stole home to help spark the offense. Harrison Snellback and Richie Sandler sparkled in the field.

BASE Technologies 11, Emmett & Glander 5 – Joe Davis went 3-for-3, including a double, to lead BASE to the win. Mike Newman (2-for-2, 2 RBI), Sean Elliot (RBI single) and Chris Otero (RBI single) helped spark the offense.

Lee J. Demers, Builder 10, Noyes-Ryder 6 – Kyle Wilcox and Richie Sandler threw four no-hit innings and struck out five batters to lead Demers to the win. Tyler Gibney doubled as Ben Stoller drilled an RBI single and Nicky Sajovic scored a couple of runs to help lead the way. For Noyes, Gary Braun (2 singles, run), Colton Sposta (double, RBI) and Troy Larsen (single, RBI) had strong games.

Onex 11, Westport Worldwide 10 – Chad Magoulas drove in what proved to be the winning run in the bottom of the fifth with a single to lead Onex to the win in this see-saw battle. Alec Arend had a great all-around game, stroking a single and making three stellar plays in the infield. Michael Lengel had another strong game for Onex, going 2-for-2 with a walk and scoring three runs, and Kevin Leblanc stroked a double to plate two first-inning runs. For Westport, Dan Poeltl, PJ Hickey, Pat Sullivan and Mike Koch had key hits.

Lee J. Demers 15, BASE Technologies 9 – Kyle Wilcox and Richie Sandler hit two home runs apiece to lead Demers past BASE in this slugfest. It was the fourth homer in two games for Wilcox, who helped Demers lift its team average to .308 on the season. Dean Demers, Ben Stoller, Sean Dardine (two-run double) and Kyle Hagerman had run-scoring hits. For BASE, Joe Davis homered while Matt Spencer drove in a run and Sean Elliott walked, stole two bases and scored on an RBI grounder by Chad Otero to spark an early comeback.

Lee J. Demers, Builder 13, Onex 9 – Kyle Wilcox belted a pair of home runs (one a grand slam) to defeat Onex. Ben Stoller and Kyle Hagerman had RBI singles and Nicky Sajovic had an RBI groundout. Kaleb Rowe had three hits. For Onex, Chad Magoulas homered while Kevin Leblanc, Michael Lengel and Jack Champagne helped spark the offense.

Westport Worldwide 6, BASE Technologies 5 – Brandon Cooper had three hits and four RBI as Dan Poeltl and Chris Robinson had two hits apiece to lead Westport to the win. Mike Koch and Poeltl pitched well, striking out seven. For BASE, David Gerics lashed a two-run homer, Joe Davis had two hits and an RBI, Wyatt Depuy doubled and Chris Otero and Rob Marona

Stony Brook 13, Ferris Acres Creamery 3 – Logan Puleri, Justin Cherry, Robert Linden (6 Ks) and Pat Mullins combined for 13 strikeouts as the ‘Cudas downed Ferris Acres. At the plate, Greg Hennessy was 4-for-4 with a triple, double and four RBI. For Ferris Acres, Brandon Marks had two doubles to score two runs. Dominic Scarangella pitched a scoreless inning.

Taunton Press 12, Ocon Pest Control 3 – Vikram Makayee (3hits), Eric Pisani (3 hits) and Jack Martin (single, double) sparked the Taunton offense in the win. Stephen Rahr sparkled in the field. For Ocon, Garrison Buzzanca pitched two shutout innings, striking out five batters, and Brendan Peterson ripped a two-run double while going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Prism Painting 17, Onex 7 – Jacob Moore had a home run, Connor Noonan had two doubles and two triples and Dean Lindquist had a triple to lead Prism at the plate. Matt Hoyt made a spectacular diving catch in the outfield. For Onex, Cassie Ekstrom and Jack Zahansky had two hits a piece as Brandon McCarthy, Tom Floros and Nick Swenson played well defensively.

Law Offices of Andrew Buzzi 10, Ocon Pest Control 2 – Matt Sabia hit a bases loaded double and also started a triple play with Matt Baldino and Dan Harrison to lead Buzzi. Greg Horne banged out a two-run double. For Ocon, Michael Daubert pitched well as Owen Gaston hit a two run single, walked twice and scored a run.

Onex 13, Stony Brook 9 – Bubba LeBlanc had a double, triple and five RBI to lead Onex to the win. Jack Zahansky and Andrew Ryan both hit long doubles as Nick Swenson and Tom Floros played very well defensively. For Stony Brook, Conner Bateson, Sam Svensson and Jamie McDonald had key hits to keep the rally going. Robert Linden made two very good catches to keep the game close.

Taunton Press 10, Ferris Acres Creamery 9 – Andrew Martinez had two hits with Ryan Pisani, Vikram Makayee and Eric Pisani each banging out a hit to lead Taunton Press to the win. For Ferris Acres, Chad Ferris (3-for-4, 2 RBI), Brandon Marks (2-for-3, double), David Vallerie (2-for-3, 2 RBI), and Andrei Rusco (2-for-3, RBI) played well.

Prism Painting 5, Stony Brook 4 – Colin Dutt had a double and Matt Hoyt laid down a perfect bunt to spark Prism in an extra-inning affair. JP Kitzmiller got a hit in the seventh inning and scored the winning run on a pass ball. Casey Fuller made two amazing defensive plays at the plate to cut down runs. Jacob Moore came in and pitched a great seventh inning to secure the win. For Stony Brook, Greg Hennessy pitched two shutout innings as Robert Linden, Logan Puleri, Alex Lapinski and Sam Svensson (2 RBI) had key hits..

Mastercard 14, Mobil 1 Lube Express 2 – Colton Smith led Mastercard with four hits while Jimmy Widman added a 2-for-3 performance. Will Swain, Brandon Powell, Markus Elken and Jonathan Sherman chipped in with one hit each. For Mobil 1, Greg Grasso pitched well and provided offense with a double and an RBI. Nick Carozza had a single and the other RBI. Nick Strokis had the defensive highlight with an unassisted double play at first base.

Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital 7, Fairfield County Irrigation 2 – Jim Parker, Nate Dowd, Jon Rospenda, Daryl Silverlieb and Forest Speed all pitched well, combining for 14 strikeouts, to lead Mount Pleasant to the win. For FCI, Nick Eisle and Jack Lago each had a pair of hits and a run scored as Harry Duffy had the FCI lone extra base hit with a double. Matt Janco played well behind the plate.

Mastercard 6, Sal & Pepe’s Restaurant 3 – Markus Elken led Mastercard’s offense with a two-hit performance and Jimmy Widman and Jonathan Sherman each contributed a double for a combined three RBI in the victory. Will Swain pitched well while facing four batters and striking out three.

Newtown Mobil 10, Fairfield County Irrigation 6 – Brianna Baranowski sparked a fifth inning rally, scored two runs and adding two RBIs to lead Mobil 1. Bobby Archiere added a two-run single and Justin Corsello scored two runs with one RBI. For FCI, Virgil Procaccini went 3-for-3 with an RBI as Nick Eisle had three RBI on a pair of hits. Matt Lindell drove in two with a bases-loaded double. On the hill, Procaccini threw six strikeouts in two innings while giving up a single hit.

Aerco International 18, BW Retail Real Estate 5 – Harry Depuy pitched great and had two hits to lead Aerco. Kevin Conte and Jimmy Leidlen had two hits apiece while Kyle Robertson, Jason Ferrier and Cooper McLean all scored twice to help seal the victory. For BW, Chase Wurtz went 2-for-2 with two doubles as Ryan Rosenberger and Jordan Salvesen each went 2-for-2 with a single, double and two RBI.

Cascone Painting 9, Aerco International 6 – James Leidlein had two hits and Kevin Conte added two RBI as Aerco rallied late against Cascone.

BW Retail Real Estate 6, Mastercard 4 – Connor Roche  went 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Ryan Rosenberger added two hits and two RBI to lead BW to the win. In the sixth inning, Austin Lesu executed a perfect relay throw from rightfield to Ryan Rosenberger, who fired home to a waiting Charlie Huegi to cut down the potential game-winning run at the plate in the bottom of the 6th. Connor Roche then hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning to seal the victory. For Mastercard, Markus Elken and Jimmy Widman had three hits apiece while Will Swain, Brandon Powell and Rhett Ehnot contributed two hits each.

Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital 8, Newtown Mobil 5 – Nate Dowd made a game saving catch in center field and Matt Mitchel an outstanding play at catcher to lead Mount Pleasant to victory. Jon Rospenda and Matt Wood each had three hits to lead the offense. For Mobil 1, Nick Roche and Nehar Patel combined to score five runs. Bobby Archiere and Jeremy Fellin played well.

Cascone Painting 11, Mobil 1 Lube Express 7 – Nick Lotrechianno pitched two shutout innings and scored three times while Jake Reed went 3-for-4 and scored twice to lead Cascone to the win. Kevin Liniger doubled. For Mobil 1, Travis Audet, Carter Priolo, Adam Israel, Jonathan Santyana and Nick Strokis helped spark a late comeback.

BW Retail Real Estate 5, Fairfield County Irrigation 3 – Charlie Huegi (2-for-3, 2 runs scored) and Connor Roche (2 hits, 2 RBI) powered BW to the win. Chase Wurtz picked up the win with two innings of scoreless relief. For FCI, Matt Lindell hit a solo HR and Virgil Procaccini knocked in two runs. Procaccini, Lindell and Lane Kummer combined for 11 strike outs over five innings, giving up only four hits.

Aerco International 18, Sal & Pepe’s Restaurant 10 – Down 6-1, Aerco banged out 13 hits to rally for the win. Troy Frangione scored five times with three hits and four RBI to lead the way. Malcolm Dance had a three-run triple as Patrick Rowley, Jack Beal and Connor LeMay had key hits.

Rich’s Keys & Locks 4, Newtown Shell 1 – Alex Daignault pitched two scoreless innings, recording six strikeouts,went had two hits, two stolen bases and an RBI to lead Rich’s to the win. and no runs scored in the process. Paul O’Leary had a run-scoring double while Nathan Wutzke played well in the field and scored a key run in the third. For Shell, Jared Brady tripled and scored on an RBI single by Holden Turk. Matt Perun added two hits and Alex Gerbo struck out the side in the inning he pitched.

Coldwell Banker 11, Rich’s Keys & Locks 5 – Eric Street went 3-for-3 with an impressive base clearing one hopper hit to the fence to lead Coldwell. Joey Duero came in and pitched a great final inning to close the game. For the Patriots, Austin Martinez threw a great inning as Kyle McGrath had a hit and scored two runs. Peter Kohlsaat stole a base and scored a run.

Associated Refuse 11, Turner Construction 7 – Jaret Devellis triple and drove in three runs while Michael Parker and James Leuci each had two hits to spark Associated. Chris Calo pitched a scoreless inning and Jacob Hill closed out the victory in relief. For Turner Construction, Chance McMahon ripped a two-run double and Stephen Bruno played solid defense.

Associated Refuse 5, Newtown Shell 2 – A triple by Stephen Panza and double by Chris Calo led Associated to the win. Keaton McCleary and Kevin Finnegan sparkled in the field. For Newtown Shell, Alex Gerbo, Shawn McCarthy and Holden Turk each had  a hit and James Carney pitched well.

Associated Refuse 11, DINA 5 – Chris Calo went 3-for-3 and Jacob Hill banged out a double to lead Associated. Patrick Berger, Jaret Devellis, Stephen Panza and Matthew Ingwersen each had two hits. For DINA, Rob McCabe singled, doubled in a run and scored a run. Andrew Cragin retired the side in pitching a scoreless inning.

Turner Construction 8, Newtown Shell 2 – Chance McMahon stroked a two run double and Jack Procaccini ripped a double, a single and scored two runs to lead Turner to the win. Declan Sullivan pitched an inning of relief and struck out the side. For Shell, Nicholas Nelson had two hits and scored a run. Jared Brady had two hits and struck out the side in his one inning of work.

Turner Construction 9, DINA 6 – Declan Sullivan stroked three hits and scored three runs to lead Turner. Jack Procaccini tripled, Sam Czel hit a monster two run home run and Joey Carrino laced a base clearing double to seal a come from behind victory. For DINA, Rob McCabe had an RBI triple and homer. Dillon Palumbo had three hits and scored a run and Brandon Johnson scored a run after drawing a key walk.

PC Metal 9, Coldwell Banker 0 – – Ethan Carpenter and Nick Randle had two hits and 2 RBI each while Glen Damota, Devin Luzietti and David Matthews each added a hit and an RBI to lead PC to the win. For Coldwell, Liam Palilla threw two solid innings.

Newtown Financial Mortgage 7, Rich’s Keys & Locks 3 – Stephen Brittin, Curtis Williamson and Alex Klang banged out hits to lead NFM to the win. Albert Dean, though, had two key hits and four RBI to lead the way. For Rich’s, Austin Martinez singled in a run as Alex Daignault and Kyle McGrath had hits.

Newtown Financial Mortgage 8, Coldwell Banker 5 – Curtis Williamson went 3-for-3 with two singles and a double and Alex Klang singled and tripled with three RBI to lead NFM to the win. Stephen Brittin and Russell Jacobs had key hits. For Coldwell, Matt Maturo pitched two solid innings as Tim Vander Have had two hits and Joey Duero and Matt Maturo banged out doubles.

Newtown Financial Mortgage 6, DINA 4 – Griffin Davis blasted a home run and Curtis Williamson went 2-for-3 with a double to lead NFM. Russell Jacobs, Matthew Elias and Jake Courchene-Roy added key hits. For DINA, Andrew Cragin and Mike Doyle (three RBI) both tripled.

Mobil 1 Lube Express 5, Addessi Jewelers 3 – Tommy Leuci and Nick Calbo played solid defense at catcher while Justin Dunn was superb on the mound to lead Mobil 1. Matthew Clark, Parker Strong and Oliver Wood each had hits. For Addessi Jewelers, Parker Johnson and Rachel Williams played great defense as Mitchell Savoco went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Matthew St. Jean pitched a great shut out inning.

Newtown Real Estate 8, Onex 7 – Quinlan Hart, Clint Stergue, Brendon McMahon and Tom Cotton hit the ball hard to lead Newtown Real Estate to the win. For Onex, Timothy LeBlanc doubled and homered as Spencer Johnson went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Joshua Headen and Nicholas Genovese added triples.

Burrell & Winans 9, Fiorella Insurance 7 – Brandon Hensel had three hits as John Cagganello and Matt Davis also had big hits to lead Burrell & Winans. For Fiorella, Matthew Kugler doubled and scored two runs as Austin Kasbarian and Justin Hull each scored two runs.

Gas House Gorillas 15, VFW #308 1 – Nick Rohrbacher, Michael Capaldo and Patrick Conte all homered to lead the Gorillas. Elena Nikitchyuk was outstanding behind the plate.

Gas House Gorillas 9, Mobil 1 Lube Express 3 – Bobby Haskins and Jack Moulder collected three doubles apiece as Kieran Lynch, Paul Whitaker and Matthew Pellison had three singles apiece to power the Gorillas. For Mobil 1, Sam Duffy doubled while Shawn Fulton sparkled in the outfield. Ryan Shaw and Colin Parker hit the ball hard.

Onex 10, Raymond James Financial 7 – ONEX rallied with ten runs in the last two innings to erase a seven-run deficit on its way to its first victory of the season. Matthew Carino, Nicholas Genovese, and Spencer Johnson each went 3-for-3, with doubles, to lead the way. Zachary Laros played well in the field.

Addessi Jewelers 10, Flagpole Realty 10 – David Usher, Thomas Addessi and David Gerics (homer) keyed a late rally for Addessi. Connery Mayer and Brian Gallagher played great in the field.

Burrell & Winans 12, VFW #308 0 – Pitchers Austin Leblanc, Matt Stewart and Lucas LaDestro combined for the shutout as Alex Soderholm, Matt Davis and Peter Winans provided the offensive punch with two hits each.

Fiorella Insurance 17, Newtown Real Estate 12 – Michael Meyers had three hits, including a homer, to lead Fiorella. Hunter Booker, Aaron Gershon, Matthew Kugler and Max Minor also had hits. For NRE, Tom Cotton went 4-for-4 as Matt Campbell, Jake Oliger, Grant Varnum and Quinlan Hart had three hits apiece.
