*Two on-sale reminders this week: For those who have opted to not go for the 2011 Country Megaticket, the individual shows that ticket would have covered have begun to go on sale including the June 4 Comcast Theatre show by BRAD PAISLEY. Tickets are $31.75 and $73.75 (including service fees) and will be on sale Friday, April 15, at 10 am, through www.LiveNation.com.
Also on sale on Tax Day will be tickets for the August 25 show JOURNEY with special guests FOREIGNER and NIGHT RANGER at The Comcast Theatre, priced at $32 (including service fees) for lawn seating and up to $156 for reserved seats, as well as tickets for the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festivalâs July 24 stop at the Comcast Theatre ($25.25 for the lawn, $59.75 general admission pit and $39.75 or $49.75 for reserved seats; see the complete line-up for Hartford at www.RockstarMayhemFest.com).
*New this week are the announcements for on-sale dates for The Happy Together Tour (THE TURTLES featuring FLO & EDDIE, THE ASSOCIATION, MARK LINDSAY, THE BUCKINGHAMS and THE GRASS ROOTS) on July 9 at the Oakdale Theatre, $29 to $49, which will be available beginning Friday morning at 10; along with tickets for the recently announced May 14 96.5 TIC All-Star Spring Fling, to be offered as an indoor show at The Comcast Theatre in Hartford and featuring DAUGHTRY, COLBIE CAILLAT and GRACE POTTER & THE NOCTURNALS, will run from $41 to $91, and will be available beginning 10 am Saturday.

*KE$HA will bring her Get $leazy Tour to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, August 12, with special guests LMFAO and Spank Rock. Tickets are $40 and also go on sale Friday morning at 10 through TicketMaster. Saturday morning tickets will also be available through the casinoâs box office in Uncasville.
*STYX and YES will co-headline a show at The MGM Grand at Foxwoods on Friday, July 8. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 15, at 10 am, ranging from $40 to $65, through TicketMaster.
*BlackRock Rocks is organizing a special musical event/fundraiser called âAfter The Smoke Clears,â which will benefit the eight families and two landmark businesses (Martyâs Brick Oven Pizza and Varsity Barber) that were all displaced following a fire at 2914 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport last month.
âAfter The Smoke Clearsâ will take place Saturday, April 23, from 2 to 10 pm, at the S.S. Norden Club, 4 Seabright Avenue in Bridgeport.Â
Entertainment, the hallmark of all BlackRock Rocks events, will include performances by NARDY BOY, IRON CHICKEN FOOT and SEPARATE INCIDENTS, with additional local acts to be added as the date approaches.
Admission is $15, with a cash bar and food for purchase. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
âOur focus for this event is to raise funds to help the tenants of the building at 2914 Fairfield Avenue, while also bringing the community together in a show of support,â explained Chairperson Angel Telesco.

*Organizers of the 2011 Gathering Of The Vibes Festival announced 18 additional acts for this yearâs event, which returns to Bridgeportâs Seaside Park the long weekend of July 21-24.
We already knew that 60s icon WAVY GRAVY would be returning as the master of ceremonies (fresh off his 75th birthday celebration at The Beacon Theatre, no less), and that FURTHUR featuring PHIL LESH and BOB WEIR, JANEâS ADDICTION, ELVIS COSTELLO & THE IMPOSTERS and MOE would be among the headliners.
The new list of performers includes the following, who will be performing on âmultiple alternating stages throughout the weekendâ: BIG SAMâS FUNKY NATION, THE MOTHER HIPS, THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS, TEA LEAF GREEN, ROOTS OF CREATION, GIANT PANDA GUERILLA DUB SQUAD, SAM KININGER BAND, THE BRIDGE, RUBBLEBUCKET, KUNG FU, SISTER SPARROW & THE DIRTY BIRDS, DAVID GANS, WAYLON SPEED, LO FABER and AARON MAXWELL of GOD STREET WINE, CARAVAN OF THIEVES, DARIAN CUNNING BAND, KING FOR A DAY, ANDY THE MUSIC MAN, BAND TOGETHER, NICOS GUN and THE PRIMATE FIASCO.
In addition to all that, Grateful Dead vocalist DONNA JEAN GODCHAUX will return to join Dark Star Orchestra as a special guest Thursday evening, and PERPETUAL GROOVE will complete the Late Night Stage Throwdown Trifecta, joining THE NEW MASTERSOUNDS and BIG GIGANTIC to keep the music going until 3 am each morning.

*Tickets for EDDIE VEDDERâs June 18 show at The Bushnell have sold out. The guy is doing a one-month tour to support a solo project that hasnât even been released yet (Ukulele Songs), but the show sold out almost immediately.
Hereâs hoping Vedder somehow finds time to add a second Connecticut show to his already tight itinerary.
*Two more shows have been added to the calendar for The Warner Theatre in Torrington. Tickets will be available this weekend for BUDDY GUYâs May 27 show as well as ARLO GUTHRIEâs November 11 and 12 shows.
*Western CT State University will host a two-day event next month, with headliners to include WEEZER, SNOOP DOGG, GEORGE CLINTON & PARLIAMENT-FUNKADELIC, NEON TREES, STATE RADIO and dozens more â 30 national artists and more than 25 local artists will share four stages.
Bring Our Music Back, or BOMB Fest, will take place May 28-29 and the festivalâs website (www.BOMBfest.com) says this will be on the universityâs Festival Fields on the universityâs westside campus.

*And finally this week, tickets for 93.7âs 10th annual HOT Jam will be on sale Saturday morning at 10, through TicketMaster.
