SNAPSHOT LORRICE BARILLARI

Occupation: Finishing doughnuts - I love it. I put frosting on all the

doughnuts and fill them at Dunkin' Donuts [in Queen Street Shopping Center].

I've been here five years; three years [before this] in the Monroe store.

Family: I'm proud of my son, Richard, who owns the Dunkin' Donuts here and the

two in Brookfield, and my son, Dom, who's taking care of the two [stores] in

Brookfield; I've been married 50 years in June to Domenick; we have

grandchildren Richard, 16, and Jennifer, 15, who go to school at Newtown High

School, and Ryan, 16, who goes to Trumbull High.

Hobbies: I love to watch my stories. I've got four of them: "The Young and the

Restless," "Days of Our Lives," "Another World and "As the World Turns." I

tape them while I'm here and watch them at night. We go to casinos - I love to

gamble. I do win - $400 once on the slot machines; $200 other times. We go to

Atlantic City; a couple of times we went to Ledyard but mostly Atlantic City -

the Trump, we go there a lot. And I like to spend time with my family. My girl

friends, the four of us, play cards once a week - 21/31, poker, rummy. And we

put $5 away every week and then go see a show or play. I like to cook. I cook

full dinners for my husband and I every night - chicken cutlet, meatloaf,

spaghetti. I cooked three spaghetti dinners for [my grandson's] Newtown High

School football team. Each time, 300 meatballs, sausage, steak meat and ground

beef in the gravy.

Favorite doughnut: Coffee roll.

Favorite food: Spaghetti with meatballs. I like that.

Personal philosophy: Day by day. Every time I come to work, I'm praying for

everybody. We go to church every week - St. Catherine's in Trumbull. I love

coming to work. I see my family - my daughter-in-law who is just like a

daughter to me, and my grandchildren. I love working. On Saturday and Sundays

I feel lousy; I don't feel like getting up in the morning. On Monday, I don't

question it; I get right up. I love it. It makes you feel younger, too.
