The Tech Club's Many Gifts
The Tech Clubâs Many Gifts
To the Editor,
During this joyous season, there is a group of high school students who already know about the true rewards in giving. The Tech Club at Newtown High School has provided some Newtown elementary school students with computers, which were in need of repair and donated by local businesses. The Tech Club put in more than 40 hours of their time to work on the computers for children who might not otherwise be able to have one.
These high school students are a shining example of âsomething gone rightâ and are to be commended for their time and efforts to make someone else happy. The members of the Tech Team are: Phil Ames, Chris Benson, Brendan Berg, Dan Cruson, Karen Earle, Dan Henry, Matt Jordan, Paul Kastner, James Kaechle, Austin McChord, Andrew Portnoy, Brian Rowe, and Josh Tamarkin.
Thank you to all these fine students who have made not only the recipientsâ lives brighter with the gift of a computer, but also the lives of the adults fortunate enough to know them and witness their gift of caring.
Sincerely,
DeEtta Breitwieser,
Newtown Elementary School Social Worker
