Mr Kurfehs is currently a senior commercial broker with Scalzo Realty, Inc. in Bethel, handling commercial, investment and industrial sales and leasing as well as development. He was past president of the statewide Commercial Investment Division (CID), Connecticut Association of Realtors, was a state director of CID, and past president of the Greater Danbury CID. Locally, he is an elected member of the Brookfield Planning Commission.

Mr Kurfehs received his MBA degree from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
