The Fairfield County 4-H has named the winners of its year-end awards - earned from performances at a pair of benefit horse shows sponsored by the 4H. All proceeds from the shows support 4H youth and adult educational programs.

The Fairfield County 4-H has named the winners of its year-end awards – earned from performances at a pair of benefit horse shows sponsored by the 4H. All proceeds from the shows support 4H youth and adult educational programs.

High point horse/rider combinations from both the Spring Benefit and Fall Nutmeg shows in certain divisions received special year-end awards:

Kentucky Hunter Classic – The Earl of Warwick, ridden by Carly Curran. Class sponsored by All The King’s Horses in Ridgefield; Walk/Trot Division – Zoe Walter of Sunnybrook Farm. Class sponsored by Sunnybrook Farm in Newtown; Open Beginner Hunter – Lynn Giuliani of Newtown. Class sponsored by Sunnybrook Farm in Newtown; Pleasure Division – Cookies ‘N’ Cream, ridden by Courtney Claypool of Sunnybrook Farm in Newtown. Class sponsored by Agway Agriventures of Danbury.

Adult High Point Champion – Mary Simpson of Spot Hollow Farm. Class sponsored by Happy Trails Farm in Danbury; Junior Western Walk/Jog Division – Brittany Moore. Class Sponsored by Hollow Hill Farm in Bethel; Junior Western Division – Randi Santiso. Class sponsored by the Fairfield County 4-H Horse Committee; Color Horse Division – Mary Simpson. Class sponsored by the Fairfield County 4-H Horse Committee.

During the Fall Nutmeg Show, Kathy Lasko of Bit of Tack in newtown was recognized for her support of Fairfield County 4H.
