Ten Minors Charged With Illegal Alcohol Possession

After investigating a complaint about a loud party in the Tamarack Road neighborhood during the early morning hours of July 16, police said they issued ten teenagers infraction tickets for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor on private property.

Police said they received a complaint at 1:20 am about a loud party that was underway at a home at 15 Tamarack Road. On reaching the site, police said they heard amplified sounds emanating from the house.

Tamarack Road is a residential road that lies between Echo Valley Road and Hanover Road, near Lake Lillinonah.

Of the ten youths who were issued the $136 infraction tickets, one is age 19, seven are age 18, and two are age 17, police said. State law shields the identities of people under age 18 who are charged with such offenses.

Police listed the names of the youths at least age 18 years old who were issued the alcohol violations.

They are: Dominick Tramontozzi, 18, of 15 Tamarack Road; Barry Smith, 18, of 13 Knollwood Drive; Hannah Basch-Gould, 18, of 27 Gelding Hill Road; Ryan Zitnay, 18, of 58 Parmalee Hill Road; Cody Kellogg, 19, of 18 Beaver Dam Road; Julian Tetreault, 18, of 18 Old Bethel Road; Daniel O’Connor, 18, of 8 Old Farm Hill Road; and Alexandra Kirk, 18, of 5 Benjamin Drive.

The people who received the infractions may either pay $136 fines or appeal the charges in court.
