Eagles 11, Yellowjackets 1 (Playoffs) – Michael Coates, Ryan Lasher and RJ Roman tossed a combined two-hitter while striking out eleven to lead the Eagles to victory in a game shortened by the mercy rule. Jamey Tibbetts belted a long two-run home run to deep center field while Coates and Lasher each had two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs. Casey Tenney and Sean Kennedy pitched well for the Yellowjackets. Scott Kim had a hit and a run scored while Brian Reed added a hit. Kyle Packer and Nic Nazer played well defensively.

Eagles 3, Clark 2 (Championship) – RJ Roman, Danny Sclafani and Michael Coates combined on a no-hitter, yielding two unearned runs while striking out 14, to help the Eagles win the Fall Championship of the 10/11 Majors Division.

The game was not decided until Ryan Lasher’s walk-off double in the bottom of the sixth scored Coates with the winning run. Strong pitching was the key to the Eagles championship run as in their four playoff games, the Eagles used five different pitchers who collectively gave up just three earned runs and 10 hits while striking out 54 batters. Coates, Adam Morehouse, Nic Neves and Dale Neves made key plays during the playoffs, keeping the Eagles on top throughout.

In the championship game, Lasher led had two doubles, two runs scored and four stolen bases. Roman and Spencer Williams each added a hit. Coates and Garrett Quinn played well in the field as Eric Sippin and Mike Zaccaro had fine all-around games. For Clark, Bryan Czel and Rockwell Anyoha each stole two bases and scored. Czel, Cole Depuy and Daniel Lynch pitched well and Zachary Faurote made a spectacular defensive play. Anyoha and Brendan Delohery also made fine defensive plays.

Minors 8/9

Gators 7, Tigers 6 (Championship) – Jack Kneisel, Dean Deamers, Joe Davis, and Michael Lengel collected hits as the Gators rallied from a 5-0 deficit to capture the 8/9 Minors Division title. Richie Sandler, Jack Kneisel, James Alvarez, and Ian McWilliams all drew walks to keep the rally moving. In the bottom of the sixth, Ryan Tita hit a bases loaded double to score Ian Kirner and James Alvarez for the win.

“The Tigers were a tough opponent. They were here to win,” said coach Jack Kneisel, who led the Tigers to a perfect 14-0 record. “The teams were evenly matched … congratulations to all the kids.”

For the Tigers, a strong offensive attack was led by Michael Greenwood and Sam Hill (RBI doubles) and Austin Bonadio (two hits). Kevin (Jesse) LeBlanc went 2-for-2 and pitched two shutout innings. Chris Haylon also pitched well.

Tigers 7, Knights 6 (Playoffs) – Stefan Hennessey (two hits), Austin Bonadio (three hits), Michael Greenwood (double) and Victor Wilson (two hits) powered the Tigers to the playoff win. Chris Haylon, Victor Wilson and Kevin (Jesse) LeBlanc pitched well. For the Knights, Colin Morris and Andrew Kelley pitched four solid innings. Andrew Kelley, Chris Tenney, Connor Blanc and Tim Bloom had key hits that sparked a late inning rally.

Midgets

 

Purple Dragons versus Blue Wave – Bobby Lasher, Michael Biancardi, Emily Ann Riley and Jim Parker led the Dragons while Anthony Sodoski and Alex Klang (three hits) powered the Wave.

Bib Black versus Fire Breathing Dragons – William Montgomery, Knute Johnson, Andrew Ross and Jack O’Neill played well for Black as Richie Sandlon, Colton Smith and Connor Miller anchored the Dragons.

Silver Rockets versus Crimson Giants – Daryl Silverlieb, Steve Price and Jeremy Fellin had solid performances for the Rockets as Colten Moroney, Chris Spalvieri and Troy Frangione (unassisted triple play) powered the Giants.

Yankees versus Lightning – Jack Lago, Lane Kummer and Michael Lally played well for the Yankees as Eric Cascone and Alex Reyes played well for the Lightning.

Little Green Giants versus Raptors – Jack Beal, Ryan King, Wiley Zahansky and Danny Romeo had fine performances for the Giants as Steve DaSilva, David Csordas and Curtis Williamson had good games for the Raptors.
