To the Editor:

I want to thank the supporters who've elected me to serve as the minority member of the Board of Selectmen. While this was not the outcome I had anticipated when I agreed to run as Will Rodgers' running mate, it is what the voters decided and I am truly humbled to serve in this capacity. I wish Dan, Maureen, and all majority Democrats well in making their choices for Newtown. With the election in the rearview mirror, I pledge to work with my fellow board members, [and] other elected and appointed officials, Democrat or Republican, to do what is best for our community.
