Following a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers are very proud to announce the planned return of a Newtown United Methodist Church Spaghetti Supper in a few weeks.
Local faith leaders and members of the public attended “Many Paths To Peace: An Interfaith Conversation” at Trinity Episcopal Church on the evening of Sunday, March 19.
Congregation Adath Israel of Newtown held a children’s Purim program this month, when youngsters learned about the holiday, participated in a costume parade, and were treated to Hamantaschen.

Thank you! BOE budget items lurk in the shadows. Many programs we fund are often dreamed up by the State and pushed down to the districts to implement.
Schools could be consolidated here as enrollment decreases. And some 'luxury' programs should be trimmed. Downsizing administrators and support staff should be considered as well. And a 'few hundred' dollars on top of inflation is a bridge too far.
