Special events tied in to the “Timeless Newtown” series are being presented by C.H. Booth Library, Commission on Aging, and Friends of Newtown Seniors.
“Timeless Newtown: Embracing Every Generation” is a new series for 2025 that organizers hope will break through stereotypes and destructive thinking toward aging and the elderly. Organizers are seeking public feedback, and have a Lunch & Learn planned for just that purpose.
Actor Anthony Edwards and author Stephen Mills will share their stories and discuss the incredibly difficult but important topic of preventing child sexual abuse and the stigma around male survivors in the next "Newtown Talks" program.

Ultimately, I’m pleased that the Borough Zoning Board chose to follow the zoning regulations and the law rather than give in to the pressure surrounding this project. The settlement also appears to address one of the more legitimate concerns by moving the homes substantially farther from the Rochambeau Trail while preserving additional open space.
I’m glad the Borough ultimately chose to follow its zoning regulations rather than allow the loudest voices in the room to dictate what a private property owner can legally do with their land. That’s how zoning is supposed to work — by the regulations, not by whoever can generate the most outrage with the most amount of clickbait.
