KB_Sophfronia Scott and Tain Gregory This Child Of Faith-001Sophfronia Scott and her son Tain Gregory (above, outside Trinity Episcopal Church) on December 3, signed copies of their new memoir, This Child Of Faith: Raising A Spiritual Child in A Secular World. The book came out of a conversation after Tain, who was in his third grade classroom at Sandy Hook School on the morning of 12/14, was asked what the most important thing in the world is to him. After thinking for a moment, the young man reportedly answered with one word: "God." The book, according to publisher Paraclete Press, "is a fascinating look at the journey of two souls ... that began with Tain enrolling in Sunday School and led to a strong life of faith for both of them." With a table set up outside Trinity Church last Sunday afternoon, the mother and son greeted many of those walking past during the Newtown Holiday Festival, which took them up and down Main Street for various events. Sophfronia and Tain have another meet-and-greet book event scheduled this month, two days after the formal release of their memoir. The pair will be at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 235 Union Street in Waterbury, on Saturday, December 16, from 1 to 3 pm.   (Bee Photo, Bobowick)
