Grace Family Church will present its Third Annual Drive Thru Nativity next weekend, complete with Mary and Joseph, Jesus, live manger animals, wise men, angels, and other characters.
The sounds of Christmas bells will be in the air the weekends of December 13-14 and 20-21 when The Salvation Army-Newtown Unit bell ringers set up at locations around town. Organizers are still hoping to fill a few final slots for that second weekend.

Ultimately, I’m pleased that the Borough Zoning Board chose to follow the zoning regulations and the law rather than give in to the pressure surrounding this project. The settlement also appears to address one of the more legitimate concerns by moving the homes substantially farther from the Rochambeau Trail while preserving additional open space.
I’m glad the Borough ultimately chose to follow its zoning regulations rather than allow the loudest voices in the room to dictate what a private property owner can legally do with their land. That’s how zoning is supposed to work — by the regulations, not by whoever can generate the most outrage with the most amount of clickbait.
