Stratford 65, Newtown 38 – Newtown ran into a very talented Stratford team that featured a 6-5 center and very accurate three-point shooting. Newtown made a valiant attempt to get back into the game by outscoring Stratford in the third quarter, but eventually could not gain any ground. Connor Collier, Cole Depuy, John Grimaldi, and Kurt Nacewicz each scored six points apiece for Newtown. Ricky Gallucci, David Bray, and Daniel Quinn added four points each, with Jacob Dauz rounding out the scoring.

Brookfield 39, Newtown 35 – Newtown could not hold onto an early lead and trailed at halftime by five points. The locals closed the gap to one point by the end of the third quarter, but could not match baskets in the final stanza. David Bray, Daniel Quinn, John Grimaldi, and Kurt Nacewicz combined for 22 points to lead Newtown’s scoring. Ricky Gallucci, Connor Collier, and Ian Cooper chipped in four points apiece to round out the scoring.

Monroe 44, Newtown 31 – Newtown rallied in the third quarter to close within five points against a very talented Monroe team, but ran out of gas in the fourth quarter. John Grimaldi, Kurt Nacewicz, Keith McGrath, and Daniel Quinn combined for 19 points to lead the scoring for Newtown. David Bray, Connor Collier, Ian Cooper, Cole Depuy, and Jacob Dauz rounded out the scoring for Newtown.

Danbury PAL 35, Newtown 34 – Newtown had a chance to win the game in the final seconds, but could not get a shot off. Newtown had a one-point lead at halftime and extended that to eight points at the end of the third quarter. Newtown couldn’t hit any shots down the stretch, shooting only 22% on the day. Daniel Quinn, Connor Collier, Ian Cooper, and David Bray combined for 27 points to lead the scoring. Cole Depuy, Ricky Gallucci, Jacob Dauz, and Kurt Nacewicz rounded out the scoring.

Newtown 51, Redding 30 – Newtown took a 13-point lead at halftime and coasted the rest of the way home for its first win of the season. Newtown had a balanced scoring attack with all 10 players scoring on the day. Kurt Nacewicz led the way with eight points. Connor Collier, Ricky Gallucci, John Grimaldi, Dan Quinn, Jacob Dauz, and Cole Depuy each had six points. Keith McGrath, David Bray, and Ian Cooper rounded out the scoring for Newtown.
