The next meeting of The Genealogy Club of Newtown will take place on Wednesday, January 8, at C.H. Booth Library. The meeting will start at 7 pm but a help desk will be available one half hour before the meeting for those in need of extra help with a research problem.

This month’s speaker will be Harlan Jessup, who will discuss “Getting There Is Half The Fun: Genealogy Libraries in Connecticut and The Hudson Valley.”

Refreshments will be served, and visitors are welcome.

Mr Jessup is also regularly available on Monday afternoons from 2 to 4 pm, in the library’s Genealogy Room, to assist researchers. The library has a dedicated computer for genealogy research, and many books, magazines and family histories available for study.

Booth Library is at 25 Main Street.

For additional information about the January meeting or the club in general call the library, 203-426-4533, or Bea Morgan, at 203-304-1861.
