Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Tehmi Mulla (nee Irani), passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022, at age 99.

She was born in Bombay, the oldest of four children to Burjorji and Shirin Irani. She was married to her husband, Dadi Mulla, for 64 years until his passing in 2014.

After excelling in school, she attended the Grant Medical College in Bombay and practiced as an ObGyn until 1987 when she and Dadi emigrated to the United States and settled in Monroe, Connecticut. Tehmi then began a career in psychiatry and practiced into her late seventies.

Tehmi was an avid bridge player, playing at clubs in Newtown and Ft Myers, Fla., where they spent the winters. In 2019 she became a Bridge Life Master, eventually achieving a Bronze Life Master at age 97.

Tehmi leaves behind three sons, Hoshang, Adil, and Jamshed; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dolly DeSouza.
