Daille Elizabeth Varsanik, 69, of Deland, Fla., passed away peacefully on December 9, 2021.

A daughter of the late Edward Frederick Allard and Audrey Stouter Allard, Daille was born on May 20, 1952, in Greenwich. The family lived in Darien, then moved to Newtown. Daille graduated from Newtown High School. She then lived much of her adult life in Cheshire. Daille was a devoted wife and mother, an avid gardener, and an excellent baker. Her Christmas cookies were legendary.

For most of her career, Daille was a nanny. She took loving care of the children of other families and always treated them as if they were her own.

Daille is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert George Varsanik; daughter Alese Mulvihill (husband Edward Mulvihill) of Beacon Falls, son Christopher Varsanik and his wife Silver Dalessandro of Waterbury; her brother Glenn Allard (wife Lesley Allard), sisters Wendy Allard (partner Edward Cedor), and Lisa Schramm (husband Clint Schramm). She was also grandmother to two beautiful granddaughters, Keira and Casey Mulvihill. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, January 15, at 11:30 am, at Naugatuck Congregational Church, 9 Division Street in Naugatuck. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service, from 10 to 11:30 am, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to Me Strong, an organization that supports families who have loved ones with cancer, at mestrong.net. Checks can be mailed out to Me Strong, PO Box 1353, Deland FL 32721.
