A table tennis event to support Newtown Memorial Fund will take place at Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Road, on Saturday, January 25, beginning at 5:30 pm.

The event is a tournament for all ages, and refreshments will be served. Cost is $10 and tickets may be purchased at the door. All proceeds will benefit Newtown Memorial Fund, whose mission is to serve as "an ongoing remembrance that provides care and support for those directly affected today, and for the entire community, for the long term," according to its website.

Those interested in joining the event or who can’t attend but would like to make a donation are asked to call Newtown High School student and event organizer Kunal Marwah at 203-364-1496.
