American Legion Post 202 is hosting a clothing fundraiser drive through January 18. Due to COVID-19, Post 202 has not been able to do other fundraising in the past year.

Donations of clothing, shoes and boots, handbags, backpacks, jackets and coats, towels, blankets, and linens will be accepted. Belts and costume jewelry will also be collected.

No electronics or furniture, please.

Pack clean items in large (33-gallon) bags. Items can be dropped off at 1 Sealand Drive, Newtown.

Donated items will be delivered to Savers in Danbury, which will pay Post 202 approximately 20 cents per pound. The clothing will then be distributed through charitable efforts.
