Edward Felix Muraszkin

Edward Felix Muraszkin, 87, of Newtown, died peacefully, January 5. He was born March 5, 1926, in Westport. 

He graduated from Greens Farms High School and joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a pilot in World War II.

After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he began his career with the United States Department of Defense where he was employed as quality control inspector of aircraft and submarines.

His loving wife of 58 years, Jean Pitman Muraszkin of Newtown; daughters Patricia E. Bergougnoux, of Los Angeles and Michele A. Richardson and her husband, Brian of Jupiter, Fla.; grandson Cooper; and sister, Frances Perkowski survive Mr Muraszkin.

He was the son of John and Mary Muraszkin and the brother of siblings Ella, Hellen, John, Janice, Margaret and Elizabeth, all deceased.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and dogs. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, January 9, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, from 4 to 7 pm.

A future burial with immediate family will be held in Jupiter, FL, which will be his final resting place.
