Kathryn J. Feher, 83, of Newtown, beloved wife of Joseph Feher, died January 5. Born and raised in Fairfield, she had been a Fairfield resident for many years before moving to Newtown more than 45 years ago.

Mrs Feher worked as a secretary for the Fairfield School System and later for the University of Bridgeport, until her retirement.

She especially enjoyed collecting Depression-era glass. She was very knowledgeable in identifying and collecting various items and educating others about their history. She loved traveling with her husband to various shows and events, and was a charter member and first secretary of the Nutmeg Depression Glass Club and a member of the Heisey Club of Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

In addition to her devoted husband, her children Kenneth Feher and Robert Feher, both of Newtown, Vicki Balogh, and her husband Lloyd, of Newtown, Diane Ahearn. and her husband James, of East Hampton, Elaine Drake, and her husband Paul, of Harrisburg, N.C.; and, grandchildren Jordan Feher, Holly and Karinne Feher, Kelly and Kevin Ahearn, Justin and Kyle Drake, and Craig and Kristina Balogh; her sisters Helen Zampiello, and her husband Richard, of Washington, Conn., and Mary Hawley, and her husband Gordon, of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews, survive Mrs Feher. She was predeceased by her sisters Anne Lewandowski and Dorothy Palsa.

Funeral services will take place Friday, January 10, at 11 am, in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center, with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 9, from 3 to 7 pm.
