Sandy Hook-based Leaps of Faith Adaptive Skiers Club invites individuals with any and all disabilities to hit the slopes this winter for adaptive skiing at Mount Southington in Plantsville. Leaps of Faith will offer both beginner and advanced snow ski classes with certified instructors.

“We’re really looking forward to another successful season of adaptive snow skiing,” said LOF Adaptive Skiers President Joel Zeisler. “Our clinics are a ton of fun for skiers of all abilities.” Last year’s clinics sold out, so he encourages early registration.

LOF Adaptive Skiers’ Snow Ski clinics are scheduled for Tuesdays, January 28, February 25, and March 11. All adaptive equipment will be provided. No experience is necessary to participate in a clinic, but advance registration is required. Clinics are free of charge and are open to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.

To learn more, register for the snow skiing clinics, or if you are a strong snow skier or snow boarder and wish to volunteer, contact Mr Zeisler at 203-426-0666 or joel@leapsoffaithwaterskiers.com.

Founded in 1991, LOF Adaptive Skiers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities through adaptive sports. Specializing in adaptive water skiing and snow skiing, LOF Adaptive Skiers’ programs are open to children, adults, and veterans with any and all types of disabilities.
